（中央社記者郝雪卿台中29日電）台中市獲選全球百大旅遊目的地城市，台中市政府今天對此表示感謝，強調會繼續努力，讓台中更宜居、友善，歡迎更多國際友人到訪台中，體會台中的人情味。
根據調查研究機構歐睿信息諮詢公司（Euromonitor International）28日公布的「全球百大旅遊目的地城市」報告，以各城市2015年造訪人次為基準作出排名，台中首度進入百大，排名97，旅遊人次達198萬人次，較前一年上升8%。
台中市政府表示，為吸引更多人來台中旅遊，市府積極發展觀光，推動「中進中出」觀光旅遊模式，除促成清泉崗機場升格國際機場，104年也新增9航點、105年新增2定期包機航點，並積極宣傳高美濕地、谷關溫泉等知名景點，也推動中區舊城新生計畫、改造柳川、綠川等，要讓台中成為知名旅遊勝地。
市府指出，為推動國際旅遊，去年3月底市長林佳龍帶領中部觀光業者拜訪名古屋，與日本中部昇龍道12縣市簽訂交觀光交流備忘錄，今年更將與日本北九州及東北地區觀光推進機構結盟，並透過自行車、溫泉主題旅遊、國際踩舞祭、燈會慶典等進行交流，拉動區域旅遊互訪。
為持續落實中央新南向政策，並加強台中市旅宿業接待穆斯林旅客能量，市府說，正積極輔導旅宿業者取得穆斯林友善環境認證，以開發穆斯林觀光市場。1060129
